Est. Wheatland, Pennsylvania
The Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department has stood watch over our community for generations. When emergencies strike, trained volunteers answer the call — because this town deserves to feel safe, and we refuse to let anything less.
About Us
We are not a paid municipal department. We are teachers, mechanics, farmers, and families — the same people you pass on Main Street. But when the alarm sounds, we drop everything and become first responders for Wheatland and the surrounding townships.
Station 72 has served this corner of Beaver County for decades, responding to structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and hazardous material calls. Our equipment is maintained by volunteers. Our training is ongoing. Our commitment is absolute.

What We Do
From fire suppression to community education, Station 72 covers the full spectrum of emergency response and prevention for our region.
Structure fires, vehicle fires, wildland interface fires, and hazardous material incidents — our volunteers deploy rapidly with fully equipped apparatus around the clock.
Trained volunteer EMTs provide first response medical care, including CPR, bleeding control, and stabilization while awaiting ambulance transport.
Vehicle extrication, water rescue, confined space rescue, and search-and-rescue operations across Beaver County and mutual-aid territories.
We conduct fire safety inspections for businesses and residences, review building plans, and help property owners identify and eliminate fire hazards before they become tragedies.
Free fire safety workshops for schools, senior centers, and community groups. We teach smoke alarm maintenance, home escape planning, and hands-on fire extinguisher use.
We respond to calls beyond our jurisdiction when neighboring departments request assistance, sharing resources and personnel to keep the entire region safe.
Our Mission
Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department Station 72 serves residents and visitors alike across Wheatland and adjacent townships in Beaver County. There is no billing, no priority tier, and no condition we turn away from.
We rely on community support — through donations, volunteer recruitment, and partnerships — to maintain our apparatus, fund ongoing training, and keep our station ready for whatever comes next. If you believe in a town where neighbors protect neighbors, there is a place for you here.
Get Involved"We don't do this for recognition. We do it because this is our home, and when someone in this community needs help, we are the ones who answer."
